    The Alabama Senate has voted to allow people to carry a concealed handgun without a getting a permit.


    Senators approved the bill on a 25-8 vote Tuesday. It now moves to the Alabama House of Representatives.

    This week, both House Bill 414 and Senate Bill 24, the constitutional/permitless carry bills, could be considered for a committee vote on Wednesday, May 3. However, Chairman Treadaway has commented that he intends to send the bills to a subcommittee, essentially killing them for the rest of session. It is imperative that you contact Chairman Treadaway and let him know that these bills are a priority for law-abiding gun owners across Alabama, and that he needs to bring them up for a committee vote this Wednesday!
