导出博客文章What is going on with the Los Angeles Sparks? That might be the biggest question in the WNBA heading down the final stretch of the regular season. The Sparks won their first 11 games, dominated throughout the first three months of the season and entered the Olympic break with the best record in the league. But things have changed.Out of nowhere, Los Angeles returned from the Olympic break with back-to-back loses. The Sparks will try to snap out of that funk Thursday when they travel to face the last-place San Antonio Stars. The Stars (6-20) went into the tank shortly after leading scorer Kayla McBride was lost for the season with a foot injury in early July. San Antonio is 1-7 since McBride went down and is coming off of an 89-62 blowout loss to the Connecticut Sun.The Stars rank 12th in points per game and 11th in assists per game. The Sparks held the Stars to 61 points in back-to-back wins in early June and have beaten the Stars in five straight games overall.Los Angeles recent struggles have not impacted the play of forward Nneka Ogwumike, who is among the league leaders in points and rebounds.Turnovers have been a major issue during Los Angeles recent struggles. The Sparks turned the ball over 21 times in Sundays 70-66 loss to Phoenix, which dropped Los Angeles out of first place and into second behind the Minnesota Lynx.Candace Parker had 25 points and 13 rebounds, but the turnovers were too much to overcome for the Sparks. Los Angeles committed 17 turnovers in a loss to Seattle in its first game back after the monthlong Olympic break.Los Angeles brought in reinforcements this week with the signing of veteran forward Sandrine Gruda.Sandrine adds another layer of experience and leadership to our deep roster, Sparks executive vice president and general manager Penny Toler said in a release announcing the acquisition. She was an integral part of our team in 2014 and we look forward to her being able to come in and have an impact through the final regular-season push and into the playoffs. Jeff Locke Jersey . The 26-year-old Ireland striker, who has four goals this season, has signed a three-and-a-half year contract with his new club. Kyle Barraclough Jersey . At a news conference Tuesday where it was thought that the fiery Schallibaum may be shown the door after a dismal finish to the Major League Soccer season, team president Joey Saputo said no decision has been made on whether the Swiss Volcano will be back in 2014. http://www.marlinsteamproshop.com/Marlins-Justin-Bour-Kids-Jersey/ . A statement from the worlds top-ranked player says all checks "were satisfactory and showed positive evolution" regarding the injury, which contributed to his loss to Stanislas Wawrinka in the final in Melbourne. Andre Dawson Jersey . "Were just throwing s--- at the wall hoping something sticks," said Tortorella about the possible line combinations for Fridays game against Columbus. The Canucks have lost five straight games and six of their last seven, leaving them in a logjam in the Pacific Division, currently sitting fifth - good for ninth in the Western Conference. Custom Miami Marlins Jerseys . Radwanska, making her debut in the Seoul tournament, hit eight aces in a match that lasted 1 hour, 4 minutes at Olympic Park tennis stadium. "It was definitely a very good match -- I was playing really good tennis," Radwanska said. Virginia Tech is exactly where it wants to be at this point in the season: tied for the ACCs Coastal Division lead in the loss column and in control of its chance to play for its fifth conference championship. The No. 25 Hokies (5-2, 3-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) can significantly enhance their chances Thursday night at Pittsburgh. The Panthers (5-2, 2-1) also share the loss-column lead, although they have played two fewer division games than No. 22 North Carolina (6-2, 4-1) and one fewer than the Hokies.Virginia Tech holds the tiebreaker against the Tar Heels, having beaten them 34-3 on Oct. 8, but in their first season under coach Justin Fuente, the Hokies are disinclined to look any further than the game just ahead. They wont even allow themselves to feel too good about reappearing in the AP Top 25.Of course we like being in the Top 25, but at the end of the day, we just want to win a football game, regardless of whether were in the Top 25 or if were not ranked at all, rover Terrell Edmunds said Monday, before offering a mantra for this team. We just want to go out and play Virginia Tech football and go 1-0 each week. The Hokies last appearance in the Top 25 came two weeks ago, when consecutive routs of Boston College, East Carolina and North Carolina allowed them to rise to No. 17. But they were stunned 31-17 at Syracuse and fell out again before getting back to their dominant ways in a 37-16 victory against Miami last Thursday night. The Panthers, though, present a significant challenge. They have won four in a row at Heinz Field against Virginia Tech, and are tied for 22nd nationally in scoring at 38.4 points per game.Coach Pat Narduzzi, in his second season, said he was pretty frank with his team about whats at staake in the game.ddddddddddddI told our kids, its right there for you, the pursuit and what you want is right there for you, he said Monday. Its there for the taking. Everything you wanted to do at the beginning of the season is sitting right in front of you on this Thursday night. On defense, Pitt is fifth nationally at stopping the run, but 122nd against the pass.Virginia Tech prefers to be a run-first team, but quarterback Jerod Evans has proven more than capable of getting things done through the air in his first season with the Hokies. Hes thrown for 19 touchdowns with just two interceptions.Theyre a heavy run-stop team, Evans said. They will force you to throw in man-to-man coverage.Evans is comfortable doing that because hes got plenty of targets he trusts to come down with the ball. Isaiah Ford has 36 catches and five touchdowns. Bucky Hodges has 25 catches and five touchdowns. And five other receivers have at least one touchdown reception this year.Defensive coordinator Bud Foster, a holdover from the teams that have struggled at Heinz Field, said its not the venue but the way the Panthers have played, and the way the Hokies have played, that produced the losses. Now, with the Hokies angling for their first ACC title game berth since 2011, its time to end the skid.If we want to stay in the hunt, we need to win it, Foster said. ... Its been a couple years since weve been in this position, but these games get more and more important as we move forward in the season.---Online: The APs college football page: http://collegefootball.ap.org---Follow Hank on Twitter: www.twitter.com/hankkurzjr Cheap Soccer Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Hockey Jerseys Nike NFL Jerseys China Cheap Nike MLB Jerseys China Wholesale Baseball Jerseys China Wholesale College Jerseys Cheap Jerseys From China Wholesale Jerseys Near Me Cheap Jerseys Online Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Cheap Nike NFL Jerseys Authentic Cheap Soccer Jerseys China Cheap NCAA Jerseys Authentic Cheap Nike NBA Jerseys Cheap NHL Jerseys Authentic MLB Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Throwback Jerseys Cheap Nike NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China ' ' '
